Chiltern District Council is planning to build a new state-of-the-art facility to replace the existing community and leisure facilities.
Back in November / December 2016 we asked residents for their views on whether they would like a new leisure and community complex to serve all ages and abilities. The existing complex is nearing the end of its useful life and is expensive to run.
Any new building developed would provide facilities identified in the Indoor Sport and Leisure Facility Strategy and through the consultation process.
These included the following:
8-lane 25 metre swimming pool with viewing area
Diving / teaching pool alongside a kids' splash pad area
4 badminton court sports hall
Children's soft play area and clip 'n' climb
150 station gym and exercise studios (including spin)
Community centre, meeting and drama spaces
During any proposed development the Council will aim to make sure all activities currently being delivered would continue, even if temporary arrangements are necessary.
